Most of the horses on the property are in private paddocks. This may be 1, 2, 3 or 4 horses in the paddock. It normally means your horses don’t have to share a paddock with anyone else’s.

Even our stable day paddocks are private paddocks to turn out the stabled horses. We don’t do a group turnout paddock for the stabled horses.

We find this approach keeps the horses (and the people) calmer. In group paddocks, some horses get bullied, and there is always a bit of a drama among the horses when new horses arrive.

Private paddocks suit us best, we only have a few horses in shared paddocks.
